Domakonda village development trust donated 'Oxygen concentraters' to various PHC in Kamareddy district in the presence of district collector Sri. Ashish Sangwan, I.A.S.

At an event focused on community health and welfare, Sri Babji Jaladi, the Manager of the Domakonda Fort and Village Development Trust, took center stage as the officiant. He provided a detailed overview of the Trust's multifaceted activities, emphasizing its commitment to fostering self-reliance among the residents of villages surrounding the historic Domakonda Fort in Kamareddy district, Telangana. This 18th-century granite fortress, elevated on a compound of rocks and featuring architectural elements like arched windows and ornate temples dedicated to deities such as Shiva, Vishnu, and Ganesh, serves as the Trust's base for initiatives that extend beyond preservation to active rural development. Sri Jaladi highlighted how the Trust's efforts also contribute to the broader well-being of the Telugu-speaking states—Andhra Pradesh and Telangana—through programs that promote sustainability, cultural heritage, and economic empowerment. For instance, the Trust organizes biannual symposiums on regional literature, alternating between Telugu and Urdu, to celebrate Deccani cultural contributions, including poetry, folk songs, and qawwalis, while honoring historical scholars like Raja Rajeswar Rao.

Additionally, under the leadership of founder Kamineni Anil, the Trust offers free archery training to state and national-level athletes, supporting youth development and physical fitness in the region.

These initiatives align with broader goals of linking arts, crafts, and culture for sustainable community growth.

During the same event, Sri Babji Jaladi reiterated the Trust's dedication to these causes, underscoring ongoing projects aimed at village self-sufficiency, such as skill-building workshops and resource provision to enhance local economies and health infrastructure. The highlight was the donation of oxygen concentrators by the Domakonda Fort and Village Development Trust to primary health centers in Kamareddy, a gesture particularly vital during health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, where such equipment supported respiratory care in rural areas.

The District Collector expressed deep appreciation for the Trust's philanthropic work, urging the medical staff to maximize the utility of these life-saving devices for the benefit of underserved communities. The attending doctors were visibly overwhelmed by the generosity, reflecting the profound impact on frontline healthcare providers. Furthermore, the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) commended the efforts of the Domakonda Samsthan (the historical estate associated with the fort), recalling how the Trust has consistently served the people of Kamareddy district through various humanitarian endeavors, including past contributions to disaster relief and community health programs. This event not only reinforced the Trust's role in promoting self-reliance and regional welfare but also highlighted its enduring legacy in bridging historical preservation with modern societal needs.
